Our approach
Sustainability is an important element of our corporate philosophy. Our goal is for warehouse automation to not only save space, but also energy and resources.
Energy consumption and batteries
Our warehouse is efficient. The power consumption of our Cellgo shuttles during operation is comparable to that of a standard laptop. Like all other components, the batteries we use meet the highest standards. They contain no toxic heavy metals such as nickel, cadmium or cobalt and are almost completely recyclable.
Euro containers – Economical and recyclable.
Disposable materials are still frequently used in small parts storage today. At Cellgo, we rely instead on durable Euro containers made from recyclable plastic. They meet the highest standards of quality and stability. What’s more, they can be almost completely recycled at the end of their life cycle. This allows us to avoid disposable waste and promote a genuine circular economy.
Short transportation routes
We prefer to source our materials from Germany and other EU countries. With short transportation routes, we avoid long truck journeys and keep CO2 emissions low. At the same time, we guarantee short delivery times and can react quickly to current circumstances.
Metals & alloys
Stainless steels, aluminium or conventional galvanized steels are often used in warehousing. Advanced, high-strength alloys and coatings can be superior to these materials in many applications. They also achieve greenhouse gas savings of up to 70 % during production. We are therefore increasingly using recyclable coatings made from various metals in the construction of our products.
